The Bozeat Playing Fields Association administered by a small committee and made up of dedicated group of volunteers.  They help with the upkeep and maintenance of the pavilion and the sports field & tennis courts.
The cost of this upkeep is partly funded by income from the Council  collected in the local rates, and also by fund raising activities during the year.  One main activity is the
500+Club.

BOZEAT PLAYING FIELD ASSOCIATION

The new play area is now complete but we are unable to give access yet due to the state of the grassed areas.  The installation work was carried out at a very wet time which was unavoidable due to the way the grant system works.  We could not authorise the work to go ahead until all of the grants were in place and some grants were dependent on others being approved.  Once all the grants are approved they are then only valid for a limited period during which the works have to be completed. Hence our hands were tied with regard to timing and the mess caused to the grass areas had to be re-seeded and now we have to wait for it to grow.

However, the finished result looks magnificent and our sincere thanks must go in particular to Cher and Tracy who pushed for this project over many months and with others also helped to raise additional funds to provide a few extras and ensure that playing field funds were not completely drained in making our own required contribution.

Please help to ensure that children especially stay out of the fenced area until it is opened which we will endeavour to do as soon as possible.

Plans are afoot to organise a fun day for children close to Easter on APRIL 8th and the Fete will be held on Sunday JUNE 11th.
