The village fete this year again saw extremely good weather.  There were a large number of stalls from outside of the village, but a great number of locals managed to get involved and put on a show.  A few pictures of the day are published below on this page.

The beer tent seemed to have a continuous trade during the afternoon. Thanks to John for keeping refreshments flowing and cooling the day down.

The two village bobbies visited the event and made themselves known to the locals.

The Bozeat Parish Council made a showing with village information and a sugestion box for local comments.  The fireworks committee were selling plants in aid of the funds for this years show.

The Bozeat MAMA were there with a full group. The local “Meet a Mum Association” provides friendship and support to all mothers and mothers-to-be and this Bozeat Group has been recently affiliated at National level.

The local Womens Institute held their stall with the usual raffle of donated prizes as a part of the fund raising during each year.

The allotment section was well represented and received a lot of interest. It was also promoting ”The Bozeat Club Annual Show” which will be held this year on Sunday 21st August.  Visitors will be able to see exhibited on the stand a few home grown vegetables and flowers.

Show programmes were also available and adults could see the  categories ranging from photography and handicrafts, to baking and garden produce. Children spent time practising making gardens on a plate, building lego models and designing posters.

They all realised that there was at least one class that they could enter, and that the show is for everyone in the village, not just for the “experts”.

Accuracy was tested to the limit with the Bozeat Coconut Shy where local lads were showing off in front of their girlfriends and looking to make an offering of fresh coconut .
